Not My President
Donald Trump won the election despite losing the popular vote by almost 3 million votes; the most in history. As a result, most Democrats and some Republicans have voiced a desire to repeal the Electoral College.
Trump has normalized hate, bigotry, xenophobia, misogyny, and a rejection of intelligence. Proof of this is seen in post-election polls. Trump voters overwhelmingly believed that the stock market declined during Obama’s presidency despite the fact the Dow gained over 10,000 points. They also believe the unemployment rate increased during Obama’s eight years, when, in fact, unemployment went from a high of 10.0 to a low of 4.6 at the end of Obama’s term.
This election exposed that the Republican effort to lie, promote bogus conspiracy theories, and suppress the vote contributed to the most controversial outcome in modern history.
Trump’s condemnation of the U.S. intelligence community has put Americans at risk. His refusal to participate in daily security briefings confirms he’s unfit.
This election has shown that voters are more fueled by fear and hate than intelligence, facts, or data. PT Barnum won, and he successfully conned over 60 million gullible citizens.
